Comfort Foods Done Better? Caramel Rolls

So I am the first to admit that this recipe is neither gluten free nor better for you despite the fact it was made with mostly organic products.  I can assure you, they are made with lots of love and the kids really look forward to the surprise rolls in the morning.

Today is the official first snowfall/storm of the season, and I thought it would be a perfect time to surprise them with warm gooey caramel rolls for breakfast!

Caramel Rolls
Ingredient List
  • Frozen Rhoads Cinnamon rolls
  • 2 tbs of butter
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
Directions
  1. The night before, spray a 9x12 cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place 6 rolls in the pan equally spaced and place a towel over the pan.  Let rise at least 8 hours.
  3. The following day, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. While oven is warming, bring butter, brown sugar, and heavy whipping cream to a low boil and remove from heat.
  5. Pour caramel over rolls.
  6. Bake for about 30 mins or until rolls are golden brown.
  7. When rolls come out of oven, flip onto a cookie sheet so caramel is now on top.
  8. ENJOY!
