Spicy Chicken Wings
Ingredient List
- 20 Chicken wings (drums and wings)
- 2 tbs hot sauce (Check the label for things you can't pronounce and avoid those that contain things that scare you!)
- 1/4 cup butter (Organic Valley)
- 1 tbs cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp celery seed
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees or warm up grill.
- If using oven, place chicken on a cookie sheet sprayed with organic cooking oil.
- Bake in oven for 30 min or until cooked through and crispy. While chicken is cooking, prepare sauce.
- If using grill, place directly on grill and cook until done and crispy. While chicken is grilling, prepare sauce.
- Combine hot sauce, butter, vinegar, paprika, cayenne, black pepper, garlic powder, and celery seed in a small sauce pan.
- Set over low heat, mixing until butter is melted and combined; simmer for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
- When wings are done, dip in sauce to coat well, then shake off excess and return to cookie sheet or grill.
- Reduce grill or oven temperature to 250 degrees and give wings another 15 min.
- Toss wings in remaining sauce after you remove from oven and serve.
Chipotle Dipping Sauce
Dipping Sauce Ingredients- 1/2 cup homemade mayo
- 1/2 cup cilantro
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- lime juice to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor or Magic Bullet until mixed well.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Sweet Potato Wedges
Ingredient List- 4 to 6 medium-sized sweet potatoes cut lengthwise into spears
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 kosher sea salt
- 1/2 ground black pepper
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cover 2 cookie sheets with aluminum foil
- Toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Spread out evenly on cookie sheets, making sure not to crowd the spears.
- Turn potatoes once or twice during baking. Bake 30-40 minutes or until potatoes are done and slightly crispy.
